Annie Lederman, an American podcaster and comic has an extensive fanbase thanks to the podcast Meanspiration. Annie Lederman was a Junior Olympic Swimmer as a teenager and then dropped out after she suffered a foot injury following a crash in her car caused by an intoxicated driver. While attending a school alternative for juveniles who were delinquent, she was sexually assaulted by her teacher. Following the incident, Annie Lederman and another female student testified against him in the court. Her friendship grew with several problematic classmates, who were involved in illegal acts including drug-related sales. Annie Lederman completed high school aged seventeen. After that, she spent the year following doing voluntary work. First in Hawaii teaching dolphins and then in Central America working for nonprofit organizations helping disadvantaged youth.
